We're here at Cedar Point for the opening of The Boardwalk! The sign above was modified this year removing the word boardwalk as The Boardwalk is now inside the park.
Cedar Point introduces The Boardwalk
Cedar Point Preview Photos Taken: 05/04/2023 Posted: 05/04/2023In this photo update, we share photos from our first visit to Cedar Point's newest themed area: The Boardwalk.
Taking over the plot of land previously occupied by Wicked Twister and the Oceana Stadium is now a new collection of family geared attractions anchored by Cedar Point's Grand Pavilion, a two story restaurant and bar and the brand new Wild Mouse coaster. In addition to these new attractions, the Matterhorn and Atomic Scrambler have been relocated to The Boardwalk from the main midway.
There's plenty more new at Cedar Point this year, which we'll cover in a subsequent update posted this upcoming weekend. This includes the return of Frontier Inn in Frontier Town, two new bar offerings in the form of Bar 1870 in the former Señor Vargas location and Engine Company Spirits taking over the Wagon Wheel Pizza location. Also, a new Frontier Craft Co. shop opens on the Frontier Trail combining the experiences of making your own hand-dipped candles with wood carving.

We headed in to the park along the beach, heading for the Windseeker gate.
Up ahead is the new anchor of this area of the park, Cedar Point's Grand Pavilion.
There is no entry to the restaurant from outside the park.
Once inside, we first had to get our bearings as a lot had changed.
Here's a look down the main midway of The Boardwalk. Landscaping work is just coming in.
The newest attraction at Cedar Point is it's 17th Roller Coaster: Wild Mouse.
