This year Cedar Point once again hosted an offseason tour for some of its biggest fans. Employees of Cedar Fair and Cedar Point volunteer their time and guests can attend by making a donation. All proceeds from the event go to A Kid Again and this year over $150,000 was raised. We were fortunate to attend our 10th Winter Chill Out event.
The format of the event changed this year and it was offered for two days where guests were able to pick which day they preferred to attend. The format of the experience was reverted back to a guided tour where attendees are led from stop to stop around the park.
There is lots of active construction going on in the park. Construction crews are working to finish the new Boardwalk area of the park ahead of Cedar Point's opening day. This area will contain a new Wild Mouse roller coaster, Grand Pavilion restaurant and the relocation of Scrambler and Matterhorn. The other major construction project at the park is the reimagining of Top Thrill Dragster for 2023.
