Finally we have more clarity as to what Wildwood Grove Phase II entails! We were invited by the park to listen in as Dolly Parton, herself, announced what the park was adding in 2023.
Big Bear Mountain will be the park's single largest investment to date in an attraction. The 25 million dollar family roller coaster will be manufactured by Vekoma Rides and feature 3 launches across nearly 4,000 feet of track. Big Bear Mountain will be the park's first attraction to feature on-board audio.
The ride's entrance will relocated at the end of the Wildwood Grove trail nearby to Dragonflier. The ride itself will span the entire length of Wildwood Grove from Till and Harvest all the way to the clearing where the drones currently take off for their Summer Celebration nighttime finale.
Big Bear Mountain will feature 3 20 rider trains. The top speed of the attraction will be 48 miles per hour and have a low minimum height requirement of 39 inches.
