Dorney Park invited us to check out their brand new attraction for 2024. Iron Menace is a dive coaster from Bolliger & Mabillard that anchors their new Steel Yard section of the park.
The new ride features 2 trains featuring 3 sets of 7 across rows providing riders with a unique centerline experience. The coaster features a 152 foot drop that is beyond vertical at 95 degrees. Iron Menace goes 64 miles an hour. You go upside down 4 times including on the first inclined loop on a dive coaster.
In addition to the new coaster, Dorney Park has rethemed Cedar Creek Flyers turning it into MT Buckets. As well there is a new dining pavilion, gift shop (Steel Yard Gifts) and eatery (Iron Mill Grill & Bar).
As for our impressions of the new additions, it is a monumental investment for the park that is sure to attract guests from beyond its typical market. Iron Menace is the first dive coaster in the northeast and thus provides a unique experience that cannot be found nearby. We had a blast facing our fears on Iron Menace. Read on to see more about this new addition.
