We arrived at the park at around 12 - and hour after opening. Looks like many other passholders beat us to the park. There was a backup on I-71!

Kings Island Opening Photos Taken: 05/08/2021 Posted: 05/09/2021In this photo update, we take you around Kings Island and show you what is new for 2021. Pandemic protocols are still in place, but have been loosened significantly from last year. A new French Quarter food stand can be found at the end of International Street. Also Racer has seen significant retracking and reprofiling work performed under the guidance of The Gravity Group. Lastly at the front gate there is a new Squishmallows store.
You may notice that the temperature screening tent is gone.
Instead there is a symptom checking checkpoint consisting of a sign.
The entry process seemed slower that usual. Later in the day we received a message (and experienced) the fact that pass and credit card scanning was slow.
Once in, we noticed the new Squishmallow store. That queue would actually get longer throughout the day.
Fast Lane was sold out. Seemed like a lot of passholders wanted to experience Orion.
A look at The Racer. It got some trackwork done over the winter.
