Our third New Years Eve at Kings Dominion

Last year we chose to return back to Kings Dominion to celebrate New Year's Eve. The park now regularly puts on a special event extending operating hours and bringing in some extra entertainment. The night is capped off with a fireworks show.

In this photo update, we take you around Kings Dominion showing off what their Winterfest event is all about. We got a couple peeks on the Tumbili construction progress at the time and got to put Fast Lane to good use to get on many of the park's rides and attractions that were open for the event.

One thing we'd like to share if you are planning to visit the park this year is the event and ride operating hours have been shrinking. Where during our first visit we got to ride Twisted Timbers in the new year, during 2021 ride operations stopped at 11pm and in 2022 it will stop at 10pm. There's plenty to see and do, so don't let this turn you away. Just thought this might be some handy information so you prioritize your visit correctly.
