This photo update contains photos from Kennywood Park in West Mifflin, PA. We visited in July 2020 to check out the park's newest attraction: Old Mill. Old Mill is in fact not a brand new attraction, but instead a retheme of a historic attraction back to its roots. The ride formerly was themed to Garfield under the name Garfield's Revenge.
This was also our first visit since the COVID-19 pandemic had started. We were pleased with the park's mandatory mask wearing, hand sanitization and social distancing policies. Park visitor compliance wasn't as high as other park's we have visited this year, but it isn't for the lack of the park trying. Park operations are not at the level you'd expect to see in the middle of the season. Several attractions, food stands and shops are closed. This is both due to the fact that park capacity is limited as well as the fact that some things just don't work well with the social distancing policy.
Nevertheless, we recommend a return visit to Kennywood in 2020 for a summer escape.

Wasn't too busy early in the day. Crowds did pick up by the late afternoon.

On our Old Mill page you can get to a ride-through of the ride. It's a great improvement over the past incarnation of the ride.

It was very easy to find hand sanitizer in the park. Guests were asked to use it prior to riding most attractions.
