In 2020, the Walt Disney Company made the announcement that it would retheme its fan favorite Splash Mountain attractions at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom to the Princess of the Frog. 4 years later, and after a year and a half rehab, the attraction has returned and has been reimagined as Tiana's Bayou Adventure. The ride system itself remains intact, but what is new is plenty of new theming, animatronics and music as riders are taken on a journey "Down the Bayou".
