We've arrived at Cedar Point for the viewing of the total solar eclipse. The park fell within the path of totality of this very rare natural phenonmenon.
Cedar Point hosted truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity opening its doors a month early to guests offering a chance to view a total solar eclipse from within the park or beach. For 6 hours on a Monday in early April, the park operated its Boardwalk area of the park including rides such as the Giant Wheel, GateKeeper, Wild Mouse and maXair as well as put on some special eclipse related educational activities. The park also offered a ticket that included an opportunity to view the eclipse from the top of Valravn.

Once inside, all guest received a lanyard with two buttons as well as a pair of eclipse glasses.
The park covered up the 150 logo with special signage for this event.
To hide offseason rehab progress on the carousel, custom scrims were created.
