Worlds of Fun Event Photos Taken: 08/04/2023 Posted: 08/23/2023In this photo update, we take you around our 2023 visit to World's of Fun. This season the park was celebrating its 50th anniversary. To accompany the festivities, the entire park got a makeover with fresh paint, signage and repairs to make everything new. Zambezi Zinger, a brand new GCI roller coaster opened up in the Africa section of the park as a tribute to the park's original Schwartzkopf Jumbo Jet ride. At night the park presented a special drone and fireworks show: Fifty Nights of Fire. To add to the excitement, the annual Grand Carnivale event was also going on. Follow along as we take you around the park.
The first thing we noticed was the new paint, theming and other touches that had been made at the park in preparation for the 50th anniversary celebration.
We also noticed was strict enforcement of a chaperone policy.
The main entrance was decorated for Grand Carnivale.
