We check out the refurbished Schlitterbahn New Braunfels

The last time we visited Schlitterbahn's flagship waterpark in New Braunfels, Texas, the park was still independently owned. A few years later, the last remaining parks of the chain have been acquired by Cedar Fair and millions of dollars have been poured in to get the properties up to speed with corporate standards and more modern technology. We made a quick stop to check out the park and see if it still was the same place deep down inside.
