We're back at Adventureland!
We conquer Flying Viking and Draken Falls
Adventureland Trip Report Photos Taken: 08/05/2023 Posted: 08/07/2023In this photo update, we return to Adventureland in Des Moines, IA to check out their latest attractions. In 2023, the park introduced a pair of Zamperla integrated rides attractions consisting of the Flying Viking family coaster and Draken Falls super flume. If you have been following our updates, you may notice that these are clones of the newest attractions at Luna Park in Coney Island.
In addition to these two attractions, the surrounding area got some slight upgrades including new theming for Frantic Freeway as well as the arrive of a new Potato Patch fry stand. Closed during our visit was The Underground which is being renovated and will reopen in 2024. Additionally, the sky ride that once went through the layout of The Monster was removed entirely. In our second visit since Palace Entertainment took over the park, using our Kennywood Platinum Pass got a bit easier.

This led us to the German and Asian themed sections of the park, which turned out to be not where the entrance to the new attractions was located.
