Dixie Landin' & Blue Bayou Water Park Trip Report Photos Taken: 07/02/2022 Posted: 07/13/2023I've been sitting on these photos for a bit, but figured it's time to post them with the news that Dixie Landin' in Baton Rouge, LA will not open again this season. Last summer we drove by the park and took some photos of some of the attractions that were standing, but not operating. The accompanying Blue Bayou Waterpark has been open, but its operations have been sporadic. I do not know what the future holds, so in the meantime, here's a look at some of the attractions at this park.
The park's operational status was day to day to it was a coin flip as to what would be open.
The current situation was that you would need to pay for parking to figure out what was open. To avoid that, we peered in via surrounding roads.
Parts of the waterpark appeared to be open. The weather was iffy and it was the rides park we were most interested in.
There were minimal signs of life on that side.
Ragin Cajun, the Vekoma Boomerang was specifically the ride I was hoping to get on, but it was not in the cards.
