SeaWorld Orlando Trip Report Photos Taken: 08/11/2024 Posted: 08/15/2024While we were touring Europe this summer, SeaWorld Orlando opened their new for 2024 addition - Penguin Trek. This family coaster from Bollinger & Mabillard features an indoor and outdoor section, two launches and an accessible height requirement of 42". Penguin Trek is the first sit-down family coaster from B&M. The coaster features 10 rows of 2 across seating and 2 trains. The ride's station and indoor section has been built in the building that previous housed the Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin Dark Ride. The attraction exits through the penguin exhibit and then an all new gift shop.

The attraction was built in the Antarctica section of the park.
In fact, this attraction replaces the Empire of the Penguin dark ride which was shuttered in 2020.
The whole area received a new coat of paint featuring brighter colors than before.
There is also a new gift shop, Glacial Supply by the area's entrance.
The queue for Penguin Trek reuses the pathway previously used by Empire of the Penguin and the Penguin Exhibit. You can still choose to only visit the penguin exhibit.
