Carowinds invited us out for a preview of this year's edition of their Great Pumpkin Bash and SCarowinds halloween events. We sneaked a peek at how the scare actors get in costume, sampled some seasonal treats, experienced every haunted attraction the park is offering this season and got a chance to see several new live entertainment offerings including one of two parades, Procession of Nightmares and the Conjure the Night closing show. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what the Carowinds is offering this year. Read on to learn more about this classic fall event in the Carolinas.

What's interesting is that these floats are used in both a family friendly and haunted way.

Fun fact, the family friendly parade will always start from the waterpark. The haunted parade will start from the main gate. The idea is the haunted parade moves people into the park instead of out.
