We ride the world's first surf coaster

In this photo update, we share our impressions from our first rides on Pipeline at SeaWorld Orlando. This next generation stand up coaster from Bolliger and Mabillard provides a new sensation. The new style train features vehicles that keep you standing up with over the shoulder vest restraints that prevent any head banging. Unlike past stand up coaster iterations, these trains do not lock in up and down letting you bounce around so to speak. What this means is that on many of the ride's airtime moments, you will literally leave your seat and float gently skyward.

The new roller coaster is located next to the park's entrance nestled next to the Bayside Stadium. The whole area is themed towards the beach and surfing.

SeaWorld Orlando is not finished with its mission to become the "Coaster Capital of Orlando". Over by Antarctica construction walls have come up for a successor to the area's former dark ride.
