We rise early for Rise of the Resistance

In this photo update, we try and capture the moments of anticipation and excitement from riding Rise of the Resistance in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the first time.

It all started with an arrival in the parking lot a 4:50 am leading into our first rides. We conclude with a quick stop at Epcot to see how the transformation is going.

We arrived early. How early? Before 5AM.

Needless to say, our parking spot was good.

We got a good place in line.

And then we stared at the mouse, waiting for it to light up.

Pretty neat to see the Christmas displays... in the morning.

Behind us assembled quite the crowd.

And then we were off, everyone face down refreshing the My Disney Experience App.

At the end of Hollywood Boulevard, guests could choose to go right to Toy Story Land or left to Galaxy's Edge. It was 6:30 AM.

We chose to head towards Galaxy's Edge.
