Busch Gardens Williamsburg Trip Report Photos Taken: 07/04/2023 Posted: 07/16/2023In this photo update, we share our thoughts and impressions from visiting Busch Gardens Williamsburg over the 4th of July weekend and riding their brand new attraction, DarKoaster for the first time. Located in the Oktoberfest section of the park, DarKoaster picks up the story where the former Curse of DarKastle dark ride left off and provides a family thrill ride experience. DarKoaster is an Intamin 'straddle' family coaster that is housed completely indoors and features two switch tracks that allow riders to go through the ride's entire circuit twice.
It was Fourth of July weekend so the park was honoring veterans.
The primary reason for our visit was to ride the brand new attraction: DarKoaster.
Unfortunately there was no concert on the days we visited, but there were special fireworks scheduled every night.
The Italy bridge was amidst a big reconstruction project.
There were still some tiny holes where you could try and take in the view.
