We visit a former Universal park in Spain
PortAventura Park Trip Report Photos Taken: 08/20/2022 Posted: 12/01/2023A long time in the making, visiting PortAventura Park near Barcelona, Spain has been a bucket list item for me for quite a while. This park has had a varied and very interesting history having formerly been owned by Anheuser-Busch, Tussauds Group and Universal Parks and Resorts during different times of its 28 years of existence.
PortAventura Park is the centerpiece of the PortAventura World Resort composed also of Ferrari Land, Caribe Aquatic Park and six hotels. We stayed at Colorado Creek and spent two days at the resort. There's a lot of great to say about this place as well as plenty of constructive feedback and things to watch out for. Read on through this massive photo update as we take you around the main park and share our experiences.

We stayed at the Hotel Colorado Creek. This hotel is located next to the park and is connected to PortAventura Park through a resort entrance.
To get to the park, we had to walk past the rest of the park's in the area.
We got to our hotel a little before noon, so most people will already in the park.
The resort area is very nice.
The references to the US west don't get any better from here.
