PortAventura Park Trip Report Photos Taken: 08/20/2022 Posted: 12/01/2023A long time in the making, visiting PortAventura Park near Barcelona, Spain has been a bucket list item for me for quite a while. This park has had a varied and very interesting history having formerly been owned by Anheuser-Busch, Tussauds Group and Universal Parks and Resorts during different times of its 28 years of existence.
PortAventura Park is the centerpiece of the PortAventura World Resort composed also of Ferrari Land, Caribe Aquatic Park and six hotels. We stayed at Colorado Creek and spent two days at the resort. There's a lot of great to say about this place as well as plenty of constructive feedback and things to watch out for. Read on through this massive photo update as we take you around the main park and share our experiences.

Ops were not good here. The required restraint position seems to be as aggressive as the Japanese B&Ms so you might get really stapled like I did on all of my rides.

Layout itself is excellent. It's a B&M hyper, but a really big one that has over 5,000 feet of track. It's one of B&M's best rides, but may get overshadowed in the US if compared to the 300 foot coasters that have opened up.

It's a big deal in Europe, and contains non-stop floater airtime. Didn't find the ride boring at any time.

Oh yeah, there also is a water feature 3/4 of the way through the course.
