We're here at the Indianapolis Zoo!
We visit the Indianapolis Zoo for the first time
Indianapolis Zoo Trip Report Photos Taken: 06/21/2024 Posted: 07/21/2024The Indianapolis Zoo caught our attention when we traveling out towards Indiana as it is home to a pair of attractions. The first is a unique gondola lift attraction called Skyline. The second is a Zierer Tivoli coaster. In this short photo update, we share some looks at both attractions as well as some of the animal exhibits you can expect to see at one of the largest privately funded zoo's in the US.

It's one of the largest privately funded zoo's in the nation. This also means it does not participate in the AZA reciprocal membership program.

The entrance area itself is impressive and looks pretty new.

Perhaps the most unique animal exhibit here is their chimpanzee complex. It is a series of linked habitats that allow chimps to traverse the length of the park on elevated walkways.

Skyline is a gondola ride that takes passengers around the orangutan exhibit.

The track at first glance looks like it is for a roller coaster. The ride itself, however, moves very slowly and is most certainly an observation / leisure ride.
