In this photo update, we share photos of our single purpose visit to Hersheypark on July 31st. That day was to be the last operating day ever for Wildcat, GCI's first wooden roller coaster.
It was a rainy day where at times it just poured, but the park kept operating the coaster letting everyone get their final ride. Wildcat was always amongst the more rough wooden coasters, but this was not for lack of trying by Hersheypark. The ride was well maintained and ran both trains on its last day.
Wildcat will be missed, but we can't help, but also be excited for what the future holds.

One thing I'll miss about Wildcat is that it seemingly could run in all weather. On the worst, most coldest weather days, it was one attraction you could always rely on to operate.
